I often wondered how long it took John to walk into the town centre from his home. He knew so many people who all wanted to chat to him.

Colin Hyams He was a wonderful man and is so sadly missed. He was always a regular part of the "chain gang". Always smiling and joking and never said a bad word about anybody. Sadly he missed his wife terribly. We never had a difference of opinion except when I mentioned West Ham football club but then we would laugh about them. I had the pleasure of being a fellow District Councillor and we were both former Mayors. RIP my friend.

John Davies loved his local politics and over the years has given unremitting service to both District and Town Councils , I feel privileged to have known and worked with him . Councillor John Tiddy

I passed John while walking nr the old golf course on 27 feb this year, he didn’t know me but he said “isn’t a wonderful day”. It was very sunny, warm too, yet he still had a leather jacket on! Always a friendly face when I often saw him about town too. Rest in peace John.

I will always have lovely memories from visiting uncle John & auntie Jean. John was loved very much & so devastated for Karen & Helen, and of course the rest of the family. Thinking of you all xx

I remember when I was 5 years old thinking we were twins because we had the same birthday. I’m going to miss him so much but at least he will be with nanny now ❤️

Michelle Blane John came up to Wyton to talk to people here on election time, I have known Karen and Family since I was about 8yrs old. I had seen John walking up our driveway and I opened the window and shouting at him I don't know what your riff raff here, I can hear him laughing know, such a lovely person. When I worked at the garden centre he would always say hello and when I was out walking the dog and bumped into him before we knew it a half hour chat a lovely smile and a hug. I am going to miss that so much. X
